Global Handwashing Day is celebrated on 15th October every year. And as every year, the day serves as a platform to raise global awareness on the importance of hand-washing with soap.
The 2020 Global Handwashing Day theme is “Hand Hygiene for All.” This year’s theme follows the recent global initiative calling on all of society to scale up hand hygiene, especially through handwashing with soap.
Manager Media and Communication Ms. Asma Ali and Assistant Manager Solid Waste Management Mr. Fakhar Alam, visited Government Girls Primary School and Government Boys Primary School. They delivered a lecture on personal hygiene and about the importance of handwashing. They also taught them the different steps of Handwashing with soap.
Be sure to wash your hands with soap for 20 seconds to avoid diseases like Corona, but during cleaning your hands, turn off the tap so that water may not be wasted.
