37th Board of Directors meeting

The 37th Board of Directors meeting of the Water and Sanitation Services Company Kohat was held under the chairmanship of the Board Chairman and Acting Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Mohammad Saad. The meeting focused on the company’s future plans, ongoing projects, and the challenges it faces. The Deputy Commissioner of Kohat, Mr. Abdul Akram, Regional Municipal Officer Mr. Hamid Mansoor, Board Members Mr. Rashid Ahmad Paracha, Mr. Ihsanullah Jan, Mr. Shakeel Ahmad Afridi, Local Government Representative Mr. Azam Khan, Finance Department representatives, Project Director of the Urban Area Development Authority (UADA) Mr. Abdul Hadi, and Consultant Afaaq Ahmad attended the meeting as special participants.

The meeting reviewed the implementation of decisions made in the 36th Board meeting. It was decided to issue a corrigendum with certain amendments to the previously published advertisement for the CEO position. Additionally, the new organizational structure of the company was approved based on the recommendations of the reform consultant team, which included the confirmation of heads for various departments. This is expected to improve the company’s administrative capabilities.

Furthermore, a revision of the budget for the fiscal year 2024-25 was carried out.

The meeting also provided directions to accelerate ongoing development projects in Kohat, particularly road construction and restoration works, under the Urban Area Development Authority (UADA). At the conclusion of the meeting, discussions were held on various other important matters, and Board members made recommendations to enhance the overall performance of the company.

The Chairman and Board members expressed their commitment to further modernize WSSC Kohat and introduce more reforms to provide the public with better water and sanitation services.
