Inception

“Water and Sanitation Services Company, Kohat” (the ‘Company’) has been established by the Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and formally registered in Security & Exchange Commission of Pakistan under Section 42 of Companies Ordinance 1984, to provide integrated yet improved drinking water, sanitation, and solid waste services in the city of Kohat. The rationale for setting up this company is to amalgamate, under one corporate entity, all drinking water, sanitation, and solid waste management services in Kohat City currently being provided by various government entities, such as Tehsil Municipal Administration Kohat, and Kohat Development Authority (KDA). This integration will greatly improve the overall planning and service delivery in the city by making infrastructure development, and operations and maintenance more efficient and effective in six Urban Councils of TMA & KDA.
